Case Study: Vision Coaching Scales Leadership Development with AI Through Digital Boost 3.0
Vision Coaching, a New Brunswick-based leadership development firm, has taken an important step toward scaling how leaders practise, develop, and strengthen coaching skills.
Through TechImpact’s Digital Boost 3.0 program, Vision Coaching partnered with NorthBound Advisory to assess high-value AI and automation opportunities, define a practical roadmap, and build a working AI-enabled coaching practice platform.
Vision Coaching has spent more than 20 years helping leaders across North America build coaching skills through executive coaching, team coaching, and its proprietary Using the Coach Approach™ program. The company’s work is built on human connection, trust, feedback, and practical skill development.
As demand for leadership development grew, Vision Coaching identified a clear business challenge. Building coaching skill requires realistic practice, repetition, and feedback, but mentor coach time is limited and difficult to scale.
NorthBound Advisory worked with Vision Coaching to map core value streams, identify where AI and automation could create practical value, and prioritize the opportunities that could deliver measurable business impact.
The highest-value opportunity became the Vision Coaching Lab, a voice-based AI coaching practice platform that allows leaders to complete realistic coaching conversations, receive transcripts, and get structured feedback aligned to Vision Coaching’s own coaching standards.
The engagement also included HubSpot workflow improvements to strengthen data quality, improve handoffs, streamline notifications, and reduce manual coordination as the business scales.
Key Outcomes:
Mapped Vision Coaching’s core value streams to identify practical AI and automation opportunities
Prioritized the Vision Coaching Lab as a high-impact opportunity to scale practice and feedback
Built a working MVP in approximately one month
Created a voice-based coaching practice platform accessible on any device
Enabled consistent transcript capture and structured feedback against Vision Coaching’s standards
Improved HubSpot workflows to support cleaner handoffs, stronger data quality, and better operational consistency
Established the foundation for a new standalone assessment offering and future licensing opportunity
The work demonstrates how a non-technical organization can move from opportunity assessment to working AI-enabled product when the process starts with the business problem, not the technology.
For NorthBound Advisory, the project reflects the approach we believe leads to successful AI adoption: understand the value stream, focus on the constraint, define the smallest useful version, measure the results, and scale what works.
We are grateful to Dave Veale, Pete Stoddart, and the Vision Coaching team for the confidence they placed in NorthBound Advisory to help guide them on this journey.
We also want to thank TechImpact and the Digital Boost 3.0 program for helping New Brunswick organizations reduce the risk of practical digital transformation.
As more organizations look to move from AI activity to AI impact, the Vision Coaching project shows what is possible when a clear business problem, a strong methodology, and the right execution partner come together.
